Credit Card Affiliate Programs

The internet is abuzz with a ‘new’ way to make money from home.  It is called credit card affiliate programs.  In essence, a credit card affiliate program is a method of making money through referring internet traffic to various sites.  The affiliates earn income from every click on their banner that leads a visitor to an affiliate site, or if they purchase on the site.  Different programs have different rules concerning payment.  In the case of credit card affiliate programs, it will likely depend upon the visitor signing up for a credit card through the site to which you referred him or her.  Since much of the world is addicted to plastic, it only makes sense that the entrepreneurial people of the US would find a way to make a business out of sending potential customers to a site to sign up for a credit card.

Affiliate Networks

An integral part of a credit card affiliate program is the credit card affiliate networks.  The networks allow the small user to link to the big websites with millions of hits daily.  It adds credibility to a ‘nobody’ with the click of the mouse button.  Most people might have a hard time trusting  a website named “Mike’s Credit Card Barn”, but have no problem with a Visa or Master Card site offering the latest in rewards programs they are familiar with from television commercials they have watched.  This kind of instant credibility makes these networks worth their virtual weight in gold.

Advantages of a Network

A credit card affiliate network will allow you to have a great deal of influence on the internet that you would not otherwise be able to have.  It allows you to have more than one site on the internet and use them together (in a network) hoping to drive traffic to the merchant site.  The more sites, blogs, forums, and other online avenues you have linking your network to the merchant site, the better your chances of getting traffic to the site.  In the business of credit card affiliate programs, traffic pays.  The higher the traffic, the higher the pay check amount you receive.  It can be a bit daunting to set up a network for someone who has never worked with websites and related concepts before, but if you take your time and put in the hard work, you will be rewarded.

Most people are not willing to put in the work and time that it takes to be a successful credit card affiliate.  This might be because of the entitlement mentality that many have adopted over the last several years, or it might be that many have become lazy due to the relative ease of life in the West.  For many people, it seems ridiculous to spend hours and hours every day just trying to make some improvements on a website that will help drive more traffic to the merchant sites.  The real secret to getting rich is hard work and savings.  Most self-made millionaires have stories of the hard work, sacrifice, and frugal mindset that got them where they are.  Pattern yourself after success, as a credit card affiliate, and you will find yourself going the same way.
